Spark Eye & Dental Clinic Website

Redesigned Spark Eye & Dental’s website to modernize the brand, improve user flow, and create a more welcoming digital experience for patients. Focused on simplifying navigation, showcasing services clearly, and making it easier for new clients to book appointments.

Tools:

Spark Eye & Dental Clinic is recognized for delivering advanced ophthalmological and oral/maxillofacial care, backed by highly skilled providers and strong patient satisfaction. However, its digital presence fails to match the caliber of care offered in-person.

The current website lacks clear messaging, modern design, and compelling visual storytelling—missing key opportunities to highlight Spark’s strengths, including cutting-edge technology, strong referral networks, and a deeply personalized patient experience. As a result, potential patients searching online may underestimate or overlook the clinic altogether, limiting growth in an increasingly competitive healthcare market.

Solution

To close the gap between Spark’s exceptional care and its digital presence, I redesigned the clinic’s website to showcase its expertise, warmth, and patient-centered values.

The new site features a modern, welcoming visual design, streamlined navigation, and clear, trustworthy messaging that highlights Spark’s advanced technology, trusted reputation, and strong patient testimonials. By elevating their digital presence, the redesign strengthens first impressions, builds credibility with new visitors, increases appointment conversions, and positions Spark Eye & Dental as a standout choice in a competitive healthcare market.

Leveraging Generative AI Capabilities

As part of the Spark Eye & Dental redesign, I strategically integrated generative AI into my process—not to replace core UX skills, but to enhance exploration, accelerate early ideation, and raise the quality of outcomes. I used AI tools to quickly generate a range of layout concepts, visual treatments, and tone variations aligned with Spark’s values, allowing me to broaden possibilities and challenge assumptions early on. This freed up more time to focus on critical UX work: analyzing user needs, refining the user journey, and designing an experience that felt credible, intuitive, and human-centered. Every AI output was critically evaluated through UX principles and brand alignment, ensuring that human judgment, empathy, and design thinking stayed at the core of every decision. By using AI as a tool for expansion—not replacement—I was able to move faster without sacrificing craft, ultimately creating a digital experience that matched Spark’s excellence in real life.

Prompt Engineering, Generative AI, User Research, Wireframing

Working in the clinical space was entirely new for me—I hadn't designed for healthcare before Spark Eye & Dental. To build a strong foundation, I began by conducting interviews with the internal team to better understand the clinic’s structure, goals, and brand positioning. Since I didn’t have direct access to patients, I strategically used AI tools like ChatGPT to deepen my understanding of user types, behaviors, needs, and psychographics based on broader healthcare trends. This approach helped me bridge research gaps, quickly generate realistic user personas and journey maps, and structure an information architecture that aligned with Spark’s real-world services and audience.

Without direct access to patients or detailed stakeholder research early in the process, I leveraged generative AI as a creative research partner to deepen my understanding of Spark’s users. By exploring likely behaviors, needs, and psychographics grounded in the clinic’s services and audience, I was able to uncover meaningful insights that shaped the foundation of a user-centered experience. As someone passionate about understanding not just problems but the stories behind them, this approach allowed me to ask smarter questions, build more empathetic personas, and design with greater intention.

To connect more deeply with Spark’s users, I focused on exploring psychographics—not just who they are demographically, but why they behave the way they do. In UX, understanding motivations, fears, values, and lifestyle patterns is essential to designing experiences that feel personal and meaningful. For Spark, uncovering these emotional and psychological layers allowed me to craft more empathetic user journeys, shape messaging that builds trust, and design interactions rooted in what actually matters to people seeking care—not just what they say, but what they feel.
